Popular Questions

What is Bemer’s Therapeutic purpose? || BEMER is designed to improve circulation within the body while a person is not moving (lying down on the mat or using an applicator). Specifically targeting the improvement of microcirculation, Bemer seeks to optimize transportation between cells to ensure proper cell nourishment and metabolic waste removal

What is Circulation? || Circulation is the transport mechanism that involves the whole body, from the largest vessels to the smallest. The capillary level is where it is crucial to maintain the exchange of nutrients and oxygen and the removal of metabolic waste products such as carbon dioxide, which accumulates because of normal cellular function. There is a huge network of extremely small blood vessels in our body, some of which are four times thinner than a strand of hair. These networks of small vessels surround all organs and tissues in the body and are vital to cellular function.

Can Bemer Therapy cure disease? || Bemer is not a disease-specific application. Its effect on the circulation and the resulting improvements to the supply and removal of substances to/from the body’s cells allows these cells to produce and supply increasing amounts of energy, and therefore carry out their tasks (production) in a more functional manner.

Have Scientific studies been conducted on Bemer? || Yes, click here to view the studies, and type in.

Are there any side effects of using Bemer Therapy? || Side effects are understood to be undesirable accompanying effects such as allergies, bleeding, etc. To date, no dangerous side effects have been detected with long-term application.  Yet, misuse of the product or not following the recommended guidelines may lead to minor muscular soreness, itching, fatigue, etc.  If symptoms develop after or during use of the BEMER product, report side effects to the BEMER Medical Expert Center (MEC) at usage-support@bemer.services

Is Bemer recognized in Conventional Medicine? || Bemer has been used by many doctors and healthcare providers worldwide and is a therapeutic modality used in conventional medicine as a complementary or adjunct therapeutic application. It is currently accepted by specialist medical bodies, is a key topic in medical working groups, and is a current object of research in a number of universities.

Bemer Use

The therapy is carried out using the B.Pad following the Basic Plan as outlined in the user manual. The Basic Plan is intended for localized treatments to temporarily improve local blood flow. The B.Pad may also be used for targeted therapy in addition to the B.Spot (for smaller areas). The BEMER can be applied twice daily either in a professional setting or at home.

The basis of all BEMER usage is the following:

  • Application of the whole-body module (B.BODY) together with the basic plan for the general improvement of blood circulation and all other specified effects.

  • Supporting the general application and all effects through additional local stimulation in affected body regions with the B.SPOT (relatively limited area), B.PAD (larger area), and/or B.SIT (comfort cushion).

Improvement in circulation occurs with each application and the results are cumulative. The first noticeable improvements may be detected within in a very short time of use for an individual who is in moderate to good health and longer (4-6 weeks) for those users more metabolically challenged or with chronic health concerns. The BEMER is most effective when the Basic Plan is followed consistently and regularly.

BEMER Therapy is recommended as a long-term application. The positive effects of BEMER Therapy may last for an extended period of time.  However, the results vary based on the individual user and depends fundamentally on the individual lifestyle and state of health of the user. The average user can expect a single application to last 8-12 hours.

Bemer vs General EMF Therapy

Bemer stands for Bio-Electromagnetic Energy Regulation. The working mechanism of BEMER consists of the transmission of a patented multi-dimensionally configured signal (waveform). This unique signal is transmitted into the body via an electromagnetic field meaning that it is the BEMER signal and not the electromagnetic field that acts as the “agent” that stimulates the circulatory response. The uniqueness of Bemer lies in its signal and its configuration. The signal leads to scientifically grounded stimulation of the smallest vessels (microcirculation) supporting the circulatory system as a whole.  No other biophysical modality in the world targets the microcirculation in the way that BEMER does (according to the company).

BASIC PLAN Intensity Base Signal: 3.5-35 microTesla (Levels 1-10)…Increase of 3.5 microTesla per level.

BASIC PLAN Intensity Plus Signal: 31-50 microTesla (Levels 1-10)…Increase of 1.9 microTesla per level.

The maximum average flux density for the BASIC PLAN Intensity is 50 microTesla with the Plus Signal and 35 microTesla without.

PROGRAM Intensities PROGRAM Intensities Base Signal: 10-100 microtesla (Levels 1-10)…Increase of 10 microTesla per level.

PROGRAM Intensities Plus Signal: 86-150 microtesla (Levels 1-10)…Increase of 6.4 microTesla per level.

The maximum average flux density for the PROGRAM Intensities is 150 microTesla with the Plus Signal and 100 microTesla without.

These values are associated with the maximum average flux density (intensity) emitted from the applicators on intensity level 10.

Bemer and Sports

Due to enhanced circulation and blood flow with regular application of BEMER Therapy, one may be able to train more (increased scope and better ability to cope with intensive sessions), increasing endurance with more frequent training sessions at correct training intensities. BEMER may be a supportive addition to any physical or mental training regime.

Given theoretical considerations, using lower intensity levels (1-3) with the B.BODY after intensive training sessions (including strength training) is the most sensible option. Higher intensities may be used before training sessions or competitions depending on the physical capacity of the athlete.  Special Applicators (B.SPOT, B.PAD, and/or B.SIT) may be used simultaneously or after the B.BODY application for focused applications using one of the 3 predefined programs (P1,P2,P3).

BEMER has been shown through scientific studies to decrease Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) and improve recovery.  Performance cannot be expected to improve without adequate recovery. The more efficient the microcirculation, the more expedited ones recovery will be.
